Hi, I’m Olivia — and if you have ever stood in the kitchen at midnight wondering why your dog will not eat, or why your cat has suddenly decided the rug is a litter box, you are in the right place. Olivia Pets Care is my little corner of the internet for everyday dog and cat owners who just want a straight answer to a small problem before it turns into a big, stressful one.
What This Site Is About
This site is about solving the everyday problems of living with pets. Dogs come first here, because that is where most of my experience lies, and then cats, because they have a habit of moving in and taking over. You will find practical guides on feeding and fussy eaters, puppy training and behaviour, daily dog care, litter and litter-box problems, cat behaviour and indoor life, and the products and home essentials that are actually worth your money.
Everything here is written for real life, not for perfect pet owners. I assume you love your pet, you are doing your best, and you do not have hours to read a textbook. So every guide is short, clear and practical, with steps you can try today.
How the Content Is Written and Checked
Every guide on Olivia Pets Care is written by me in simple, everyday words. Before anything is published, I check the advice against trusted veterinary sources, such as veterinary schools, animal welfare organisations and reputable veterinary guides, and I cross-check it against my own experience of living with dogs and cats. If sources disagree, or if the honest answer is “it depends”, I say so. I would rather give you an honest “I don’t know, ask your vet” than a confident guess.
A Note About Vets
Nothing on this site is veterinary advice, and it is never a replacement for a real vet. I am a pet owner, not a vet, and I do not pretend otherwise. If your pet is in pain, has stopped eating or drinking, is vomiting or has diarrhoea that will not stop, has trouble breathing, or is behaving very differently from normal, please contact your vet straight away. A blog post can help you understand a problem, but it cannot examine your pet. When in doubt, always call the vet — it is always better to ask and be told it is nothing than to wait and wish you had not.
Say Hello
I love hearing from readers. If a guide helped you, if something did not work for your pet, or if there is a problem you would like me to write about, email me at hello@oliviapetscare.online. I read every message and reply as soon as I can. Thank you for visiting — and give your dog or cat an extra pat from me.
