How Affiliate Links Work
Some of the links on this website are affiliate links. That means if you click on a link and buy a product, the shop may pay us a small commission. It costs you nothing extra — you pay exactly the same price you would have paid anyway. The commission is paid by the shop, not by you, as a thank-you for sending a customer their way.
We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. As an Amazon Associate, we may earn from qualifying purchases made through links on this site. We may also take part in other affiliate programs in the future, and we will update this page if we do.
How We Choose What to Recommend
We only recommend products we would be happy to use for our own dogs and cats, or products we have researched carefully and believe are genuinely useful. We look at quality, safety, value for money, and what other pet owners say about a product. We do not recommend a product just because it pays a higher commission, and we do not let any advertiser or affiliate program influence what we write.
That said, no product is perfect for every pet. A food, toy, bed or litter that suits one dog or cat may not suit another, so please always check that a product is right for your pet’s age, size, breed and health, and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
Our Promise to You
We will always be honest with you. If we like a product, we will tell you why. If a product has a drawback, we will tell you that too. If we have not tried a product ourselves, we will say so and tell you what our research found instead. Our guides are written to help you and your pet first — the affiliate commission is a bonus, not the reason the guide exists.
We do not accept payment for reviews, and we do not write sponsored posts that pretend to be independent advice. If we ever publish sponsored content, we will label it clearly as sponsored so that you always know.
Advertising
In the future, we may also show advertising on this website, including through Google AdSense. Advertising is separate from our affiliate links. We do not currently run AdSense, but if we do, the ads shown will be chosen by the advertising network, not by us, and an ad appearing on the site does not mean we endorse the product or service being advertised.
